Empower Women Media Summit
On December 1, 2018 I had the honor to be a speaker at the Empower Women Media Summit at CBS Studios in Los Angeles. The Empower Women Media Network gathered over 75 participants from different faith backgrounds. The guest list included women from faith-based organizations, media production companies, NGOs, United Nation groups, Saddleback Church and Biola University, including Suzan Johnson Cook, the former Ambassador for International Religious Freedom under President Obama. The women represented the U.S, Canada, Belgium, Ireland, United Kingdom, Macedonia, Palestine, Iran, Morocco, Afghanistan, Rwanda, and several other regions of the world.
Marguerite Evans Ministries’ make over event promo was produced by women in the network and showcased at the event. Because of my fashion background the topic they gave me was “how to develop your signature look / how to be camera ready”. After my video I first shared on healing of the wounded heart. I remember my own struggles with self-esteem and self-worth and how God's love transformed my life. It was well received and a few projects are being considered including an invitation to do trauma healing training in Israel and the West Bank, online course and possible radio/tv interviews. Media is powerful in reaching people locally and globally.
I’m forever grateful how God healed the deep hurts in my heart and the many hearts I’ve seen Him transform over the last 24 years. Trauma is the biggest mission field of our time. People are desperate for emotional healing and freedom. Only He can take the broken pieces and create a platform to help others.
